Stay Connected

Volume 13, Issue 17

In today’s increasingly digital world, a reliable internet connection is essential—whether you're working remotely or at the office, a connection to the internet is needed for many tasks. Yet, even the most stable primary connections can experience outages due to network maintenance, bad weather, or unexpected technical issues. That’s where a secondary internet connection could come into play, offering a practical layer of redundancy that can keep you online when it matters most.

Challenge yourself to think of the last time your organization was without internet. Or just think of all the things that you do throughout the day that require access to the internet. The list is probably even longer than you might first think - and that's what's started pushing more and more organizations to seek out a failover option.

A secondary connection can take many forms. If it's available, a second broadband line could be a good option. Where it's not available or the cost may be prohibitive, there are cellular modems using 4G or 5G networks. These alternatives provide a seamless backup that kicks in when your primary internet goes down, minimizing disruption to your work and communications (if setup properly). For businesses and remote workers especially, this can mean avoiding costly downtime and missed deadlines. As long as your network is configured to failover, switching between connections can be instant and invisible.

Should you be interested in looking at options for secondary internet at a main location and/or remote sites, please feel free to reach out to our office. Our team will be happy to assist you in discovering what options should be available to you.

We strive to look out for the best interest of our customers and their procurement in the IT venue. Be it hardware, software or service related, we want to guide you in the most effective manner possible.
